Kontroller Privacy Policy
Kontroller turns your iPhone into a game controller for a game running on your own Mac. We built it to collect nothing about you.
What we collect
Nothing. Kontroller has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it does not send any data to us or to anyone else.
What stays on your phone
Your player name, emoji, colour and settings are stored only on your iPhone. Deleting the app deletes them.
What goes to your Mac
When you join a game, Kontroller connects directly to the Mac you scanned, over your local Wi-Fi network. It sends your button presses, steering, player name, emoji and reactions to that Mac, and nowhere else. Nothing passes through the internet.
Permissions
- Camera: used only to scan the join code shown on your Mac. No photos or video are saved or sent.
- Local Network: used only to find and talk to the Mac you are playing on.
- Motion: used only to steer by tilting. Readings are turned into controller input and sent only to your Mac.
Children
Kontroller collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
